BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  This position is located at the Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) at the Naval Air Station, Fallon, Nevada.  This position is responsible for the implementation, oversight, management and service delivery of FFSC programs.  The incumbent performs a full range of duties, responsibilities and tasking associated with maintaining a high quality, flexible, supportive program of human services to all eligible customers.  The incumbent will coordinate the business processes to achieve dramatic improvements in critical performance measures such as cost, quality, service, and efficiency. Oversees all business operations, which include budget, personnel, and contingency planning. Develops the local Standard Operating Procedures as appropriate for instruction compliance. Oversees all administrative aspects of the clinical programs and services.



  • Possess a masters degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution or:

    • Other social science, human services, education or business discipline or;

    • Combination of a Bachelors Degree and six years management experience in a social services setting

  • Possess a current and valid state clinical license that permits the incumbent to function as an independent health practitioner and fully meet and maintain the Tier III SECNAVINST 1754.7A requirements.

  • At the time of the job offer, the selectee must produce, when requested, a copy of the transcript(s) to verify the education included in the resume as well as appropriate licensure.

  • Possess approximately 4 years of professional experience/ at least 2 years directing and supervising other human service providers.

  • Possess experience with technical consultation and successful project management related to program planning, evaluation and collaborative work with community agencies providing social or human services.

  • Experience in supervision, business management principles and practices, organizational development and change management.

  • Experience in managing a budget and marketing social service programs.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, local reporting requirements. Knowledge of military lifestyles and stressors highly desirable.

  • Exposure to or experience in military lifestyle (i.e. prior FFSC work experience, military family member, civilian work experience, or military service).

  • Knowledge and ability to use a personal computer and a variety of software.Must have knowledge of FFSMIS.

  • A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.

  • Must meet federal suitability requirements including successful completion of background investigation.Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
