MAJOR DUTIES: This position represents the entry level for childcare positions. The incumbent performs the more routine child care tasks, following step by step instructions. Assists in supervision of children and implementing and leading planned indoor and outdoor activities. Interacts with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Prior experience working with children is preferred. Depending on experience and level of education will determine rate of pay. Drivers license is required and the ability to obtain a CDL if position requires. The ability to communicate and work with co-workers and the public. Ability to obtain a food handlers card. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, hold a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Must be able to pass required drug test and health checks.
