MAJOR DUTIES: Performs a variety of food preparation and food service tasks for the CYP. Performs various tasks or a sequence of tasks in food service preparation. Tasks consist of several steps that require attention to work operations and follow established sequence of work. These tasks include food preparation and service, kitchen maintenance and food storage. Responsible for complying with all safety, fire and sanitation rules, policies, procedures and regulations. Performs housekeeping tasks to ensure proper standards of appearance, cleanliness and safety of assigned spaces. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge and understanding of food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures. Knowledge of techniques for measuring ingredients and basic understanding of recipe construction. Must have knowledge and skill to apportion food items according to approved portion control practices. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal communication skill. Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation.
